Bits & Pieces: Finding Hope
#GodsGotThis . Bits & Pieces . Deep ThoughtsNeed some hope? It’s easy to get discouraged with all the uncertainty.
I told the Lawman the last two weeks have felt like the end of May, 2019 when my world was pulled out from under me – when life changed due to a corporate decision.
But instead of me alone in my grief, it’s like the whole world is mourning together.
Hope seems like a foreign concept. It seems to be at the edge of our universe beyond Pluto.
But it’s there. In the giggle of a little girl splashing along the lake shore, or the smile of a kidlet getting unexpected birthday cards, or even in the “social distant” visit with an elder or a text chat with a friend.
It’s even there in the dandelions popping up throughout our lawns.
Hope is there. God is there.
Tonight, as I struggled to turn my brain off – processing the events of the day and even last two weeks, I stumbled across a YouTube acoustic concert by King & Country.
Entitled Together, the group came together thanks to technology with themselves and a few friends and simply did what they do best – give hope through music.
Hope. The hope found truly only in our faith that God is present, even in the midst of Covid19.
Like the new signs of spring, Hope is there. We just have to look for it.
What signs of hope have you found this week / weekend?
How is your faith sustaining you in the midst of the chaos?
